To say that 2025 has had a rough start would be an understatement. Since the 1st of the year, I’ve had to deal with being snowed in for a week; having a nephew killed in a motor vehicle accident and traveling the 10 hours to be with family after; dealing with our home furnace going out and being almost two weeks without while we were having 20 degree and below weather (got to 38 degrees in our house); frozen pipes and being without water for over a week (due to the furnace) and then having them burst in multiple locations and having to have every single pipe replaced; all while having to start a new day job after our contract I’ve worked on for 20 years was lost and then I lost my sister last week unexpectedly and being out of town for the better part of a week and another trip planned this weekend.
All of this coupled with the new workload that came with the new day job has made this minifigure business all but impossible. I used to be able to assemble and design figures as well as package orders all while still performing my day job. But my new job has come with a considerably busier schedule and does not allow me that freedom I have grown so reliant on.
I have now re-opened the storefront and will resume accepting orders. However, moving forward, I am going to set an expectation of 2 weeks for order fulfillment. I am only able to work on them a couple of evenings and over the weekends, so when orders spike, I may need the extra time to process the orders. If you’re still reading, and/or still a customer, I appreciate you more than I can express for sticking around with me.
